Please Note: Lois regrets that the Bed and Breakfast will be closed through February and March. There will be an opportunity to book after Easter in mid April. And then Lois intends to be open for all of May, and all of June up to Independence Day. During July the Bed and Breakfast will close after Independence Day but reopen at the end of month for the Canterbury Fair, and through out August, September and October. The periods of closure will allow for planned trips to visit elderly parents in the UK. Please be in touch by email to inquire about vacancies for the most swift response. Phone messages will be answered as soon as possible too but email reaches Lois faster
Where History Meets Hospitality
Owners Lois Scribner and Howard Moffett welcome you to their historic 1790s Canterbury home! The historic guest house is conveniently located in the picturesque Center of Canterbury, in mid-state Merrimack County, New Hampshire, and is easily accessible from Interstate 93 and Route 132. We are an easy car drive from Canterbury Shaker Village. We offer a simple, quiet, restful environment partly inspired by the Shaker heritage and the rural history of Canterbury itself.
